Nobody Is Above the Law Rally in New Bern

Demands Trump Be Impeached and Removed From Office

This Tuesday night, Dec. 17th, at 7:00pm, the night before the U.S. House of Representatives votes to impeach Donald Trump for his high crimes and misdemeanors, activists will gather in New Bern as part of the nationwide “Nobody Is Above the Law” rallies. This event will be one of over 500 actions occurring nationwide in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

The mobilization is part of a massive, grassroots effort to ensure Congress holds Donald Trump accountable for using military aid to pressure Ukraine to interfere in our 2020 elections. Protestors will demand that the House of Representatives fulfills its constitutional duty by impeaching Donald Trump and that the Senate remove him from office for attempting to rig the 2020 elections. Congress must show that no one—including the criminal in the White House—is above the law.

“Let’s be clear: Nobody who loves America wants to be at this point. We all want a president who follows the laws, who uses their power in the best interests of the United States rather than for their own personal or political gain, who accepts Congress’s constitutional role of oversight and accountability.

But regrettably, we don’t have that president. Instead, we have a president who has abused the power of his office, using military aid as leverage to shake down a foreign government in an effort to get them to interfere in the 2020 election, and then obstructed Congress’s constitutional authority as they investigated what had happened.

Patriotic Americans need to send a message, loud and clear: Nobody — not even the President of the United States — is above the law.” (Craven Democrats)

Please join us in New Bern on Tuesday, December 17 at 7:00PM to publicly stand together for our Constitution, our country, and the rule of law. The location of the rally will be emailed to everyone who signs up to RSVP for the event.

Activists will use #NotAboveTheLaw and #ImpeachEve to engage communities on social media. Information about other events can be found at Impeach.org. The link to the event in New Bern is here.
